xAI Boosts Grok Bot Speed and Adds Trading Connectors
xAI has updated its Grok Bot agent with 3x faster task execution speeds, third-party stock trading connectors, and expanded trigger capabilities across X and email.

xAI has deployed a major update to Grok Bot, its cloud-based agent platform that executes saved routines across virtual computers. The company reports that computer-use operations now run approximately 3x faster on average, while standard responses arrive in less than half the time of previous builds. The updated system is bundled into monthly plans for Grok Premium at $30, Grok Super at $100, and Grok Ultra at $200, with usage beyond the included weekly caps billed at standard token rates. Teams and Enterprise tiers are also available, with the latter offering certificate, proxy, and data-loss prevention controls.
The release expands the agent's reach through new integrations with Robinhood, Coinbase, eToro, Trello, PostHog, and beehiiv. Utilizing the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), the Robinhood connector allows Grok Bot to review account balances, inspect order histories, and execute trades through an agentic sub-account. Outside developers can also submit custom plugins to an open Bot Marketplace that already hosts prebuilt templates like Sales Outbound, Talent Scout, Account Health, and Chief of Staff. Additionally, tasks can be initiated by tagging @bot on X, reading X Chat conversations, or receiving targeted emails routed via plus-alias formatting like you+invoices@yourdomain.com.
Beyond automated trading and external connectors, xAI enhanced voice calling performance with faster startup times, higher reliability, and improved context retention across sessions. The interface now features redesigned cards, a new typeface, new themes, and smart notification delivery to active devices. For practitioners evaluating alternatives like ChatGPT Agent, Claude, or Poke, Grok Bot's shared cloud desktop on macOS, Windows, and iOS offers persistent session state across workflows. However, expanded permissions require caution: administrators should enforce approval steps, implement test environments, and carefully review data-retention policies when deploying financial or enterprise routines.
